Dear EDL,
I spoke with a distant relative in Dallas this evening, and she asked if I
knew any Eddlemans in Dallas. She then told me a William R. Eddleman has
passed away in March. I fear we have lost one of the best Eddleman
genealogists of the last 40 years, William Roseman Eddleman. Many of us from
the Lincoln Co., NC Eddleman family owe much of the early material we found
to this man and to William H. Eddleman. William R. was a great-grandson of
Revolutionary War solder Peter Eddleman and his wife, Ledica Swanson
Eddleman. Peter was a brother of my ancestor John, David Eddleman, and
Sebastian Eddleman. I found the following on the Dallas Morning News
Obituary Archive:
